Inclusive support for all individuals

Mauritius Telecom (MT) has officially pledged its support for the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower initiative, aligning with its sustainable development strategy.

A collaboration agreement was signed on Wednesday, September 4th, with MT represented by its CEO, Kapil Reesaul, and Hidden Disabilities Sunflower represented by Nadjah Abbasakoor, founder of The Inclusion Station and representative for Mauritius and Seychelles. The event took place at the Telecom Tower in Port Louis.

MT is the first African organization to adopt this international program, which aims to support individuals with invisible disabilities, including those with autism, chronic conditions, and mental health challenges.

This initiative showcases the company’s commitment to fostering a work environment and customer experience built on empathy, active listening, and support for all. The launch of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower initiative underscores MT’s belief that sustainable development goes beyond environmental management.

True sustainability involves creating a society where every individual is recognized and supported. This initiative serves as a subtle symbol, allowing individuals with invisible disabilities to express their needs while receiving understanding and appropriate assistance.
