Strengthening commitments to bring the project to a successful conclusion
Construction of the Volobe hydroelectric power station is progressing as planned. CGHV is now gearing up for the construction phase.
The Volobe hydroelectric power plant is on schedule, with construction now underway, according to the General Hydroelectric Company of Volobe (CGHV). Social, technical, and legal measures are progressing, and all deadlines are being met.
CGHV reports that the signing of contracts has facilitated compliance with legal regulations and international standards, ensuring smooth preparation for construction. In a July 29 status update, the Volobe project highlighted recent achievements and actions, including strategy designs aligned with the State’s General Policy. The company is also preparing to relocate to Volobe, establishing offices on-site and a representative office in Toamasina.
Since the beginning of the year, the project team has gradually expanded, and administrative and financial details are being refined. These preparatory activities demonstrate significant progress and a strong commitment from all parties to successfully complete the project.
