Mauritius – Portugal : Agreement on bilateral consultation mechanism

Promoting better coordination of relations between the two countries

On July 16, Mauritius and Portugal signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a bilateral consultation process.

Representatives of Mauritius and Portugal signed a memorandum of understanding in Lisbon on July 16, witnessed by the President of Mauritius, Pradeep Roopun. Joyker Nayeck, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, signed on behalf of Mauritius, while Nuno Sampaio, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, signed for Portugal.

The MoU aims to establish an institutional framework for bilateral consultations, fostering enhanced cooperation and coordination between the two nations.
