Promoting environmentally friendly mobility

The distributor of the Yutong bus brand in Mauritius, ABC Coach Works, continues to innovate with the launch of the new E12 Pro electric bus model.

This initiative aligns with the Mauritian government’s budgetary goals to promote more environmentally friendly mobility. In 2009, ABC Coach Works became the first Chinese manufacturer to market low-floor buses in Mauritius with the introduction of their first model. The Mauritian automotive fleet continues to be enriched by Yutong buses.

To date, more than 300 units have been sold. Many of these are semi-low-floor buses, which are more comfortable and easier for the elderly and people with reduced mobility to access. The new 12-meter low-floor electric vehicle offers 51 ergonomic seats to ensure optimal comfort for passengers. These Yutong buses combine safety, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and convenience. According to Akash Dhansa, Yutong’s sales manager in Mauritius, this electric model will comply with government guidelines for sustainable mobility while offering a comprehensive solution to modernize fleets.

The methods used by the dealer allow them to « offer a variety of solutions for urban and rural transportation, while playing an important role in reducing CO₂ emissions ».
