Strengthening collaboration between the two countries
Seychelles and Mozambique aim to boost cooperation in tourism, anti-piracy, and agriculture, announced Mozambique’s newly accredited High Commissioner.
Maria dos Santos presented her credentials to President Wavel Ramkalawan on Tuesday morning. She informed reporters that they discussed cooperation in the environment, climate change, and fisheries. Dos Santos emphasized the importance of culture and art for Mozambique. « I conveyed our government’s gratitude for Seychelles’ support through the Southern African Development Community Mission to Mozambique (SAMIM), which has helped combat instability in northern Mozambique, particularly in Cape Delgado », she said.
Dos Santos also met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism Sylvestre Radegonde on Monday. Their discussions centered on regional issues, including the upcoming election of a new African Union Commission chairman and other matters related to the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
