La Maison du Numérique launches the « e-Jery » project

Introducing Malagasy youth to digital technology

La Maison du Numérique has launched « e-Jery by Telma », a program aimed at introducing Malagasy children from disadvantaged families to digital technology.

The goal is to reach around 400 children by the end of the year, with the project leaders also committed to covering transportation costs for the learners. Information and communication technologies are major factors in economic and social development.

Mastering digital skills has become crucial for success in various professional and personal fields. However, many children from modest backgrounds lack the resources and training necessary to fully engage in this digital revolution.

In the future, e-Jery plans to gradually expand to include other primary (EPP) and secondary (Sekoly) schools. The aim is to promote this concept in various regions of Madagascar through local collaborations. The courses are organized into four specific modules, covering the basics of using a computer, as well as word processing and image editing software. La Maison du Numérique has a team of trainers and volunteer students to facilitate these sessions.
