Strengthening cooperation in the field of telecommunications regulation
In parallel with the 21st Fratel seminar held in Togo, Madagascar’s Electronic Communications and Postal Services (ARCEP) signed a memorandum of understanding.
The aim of this agreement is to strengthen cooperation in telecommunications regulation between the two countries. Through this agreement, the authorities will share information, coordinate efforts, and initiate collective projects to promote sustainable ICT development. This will involve regular exchanges and experience sharing as part of a joint action program.
The memorandum focuses on industry monitoring systems, market and competition analysis, and regulatory principles. Additionally, it allows for the sharing of expertise and best practices to enhance the skills of staff from both authorities.
The ARTEC delegation, led by its Chairman, visited ARCEP Togo’s quality of service supervision center and market observatory. The partnership agreement underscores the commitment of both regulatory authorities to collaborate in stimulating the telecommunications sector’s growth.
