Participation in « Réunie Local Production »

Réunie Local Production (RLP) is participating in the 60th edition of the International Agriculture Show in Paris from February 24th to March 3rd, 2024.

RLP brings together associations for the Industrial Development of Réunion (ADIR), fruits and vegetables (ARIFEL), livestock (ARIBEV and ARIV), and fishing (ARIPA). The island’s agricultural sector represents nearly 40 000 workers, including 18 000 agricultural workers, of which 12 000 are permanent and 21 000 are industrial jobs. This sector generates about 50 % of the total employment in the agri-food industry of the five overseas departments of France. Local production meets 75 % of the island’s needs for fresh products.

During the significant event, RLP showcases various products and typical recipes of the country. Culinary shows and tastings with chef Larissa Rajaonarivelo are also scheduled. The goal is to present quality and diverse products from the sustainable and inclusive agricultural model unique to Reunion Island.
