The Office of the President has announced the appointment of Mr. Shane Emilie as the new Director General of the Landscape and Waste Management Agency (LWMA). Mr. Emilie brings a wealth of qualifications to his new role, holding dual Master’s degrees in Business Administration and Global Project Management from Torrens University, Australia, as well as a Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Environmental Education and Sustainable Development Education from Rhodes University, South Africa.

With a career spanning over 15 years in Education and sustainable development, Mr. Shane Emilie began his professional journey as a primary and secondary school teacher in 2006 at Grand Anse Mahé Primary School. In January 2011, he transitioned to the Ministry of Education headquarters, assuming the coordinator role for the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) program and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
